Chocobo Forest

On the world map after Lindblum you can head east from the Dragon’s Gate. Eventually you’ll come to a little bridge. Cross the river and you’ll see a strange forest. Upon entering it you’ll meet Mene the moogle and his Chocobo friend Choco (Wow, isn’t Square creative?).

After you’ve summoned Choco with greens bring him back to the forest and Mene will teach you how to play Chocobo Hot & Cold. You’ll find items in this game along with Chocographs – little maps and clues to lead you to packed treasure chests. You’ll also accumulate points. When you get enough you can redeem the points for items from Mene.

Some Chocographs have chests that flood you with smoke and take you into a dream where Choco will learn new abilities: Learn more about Chocographs Here.

After a certain number of Chocographs are found in the forest Mene will tell you Choco can’t find any more Chocographs here. Once you get the reef ability for Choco you can get to the Chocobo Lagoon, a cave in an island south of the Forgotten Continent. Your journey with Choco will continue there.
