Hunt Missions 41 - 48

Mission 41 - Gaian Grudge

Mark: Tonberry
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Via Lunae
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Gaian Path (D1)
Rank: A
Unlock Condition: Complete Missions 38
Reward: Doctor's Code
Secondary Reward: Tonberry Figurine
This fight consists of three Tonberries. They grow increasingly dangerous at they are left in play so speed is the key to this fight. Start with a preemptive strike and Agression Paradigm Com/Com/Rav. (If you use Lightning and she is using the Lionheart weapon or upgrade use Fang as the party leader. This will allow Hope or Vanielle the ability to stagger Fang's Tonberry while Lightning can stagger her own.) With a preemptive you should be able to remove two tonberries right from the beginning. Beat down the final Tonberry as fast as possible.

Mission 42 - Antihero

Mark: Borgbear Hero
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Via Lunae/Via Stellarum
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Salamandrine Path (D2)
Rank: B
Unlock Condition: Complete Missions 38 or 39

Four borgbear and a Borgbear hero face you in this fight. Have a synergist haste the group. Remove the borgbear first to prevent them from becoming a Hero.

Mission 43 - The Hero Never Dies

Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Sylphid Path (D3)
Rank: B
Unlock Condition: Complete Mission 39 or 40
Reward: Speed Sash
Secondary Reward: Bomb Core x7
You face a goblin, Goblin Chieftain, munchkin, Munchkin Maestro, borgbear, and a Borgbear Hero. Remove the smaller versions first. If you're struggling use a Sentinel.

Mission 44 - The Old Ones Go To Rust

Mark: Corrosive Custard
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Via Solis
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Nereid Path (D4)
Rank: A
Unlock Condition: Complete Mission 40
Reward: General's Belt
Secondary Reward: Bomb Shell x7
Corrosive Custard fights alongside a Monstrous Flan and a Hybrid Flan. Remove the mark before spending time on the other two. Earth resistant accessories help in this battle. The Evened Odds paradigm works well in this fight.

Mission 45 - Emergent Evolution

Mark: Neochu
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Gaian Path
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Titan's Throne (E1)
Rank: A
Unlock Condition: Complete Mission 41
Reward: Hunter's Friend
Secondary Reward: Moonblossom Seed x3
This is a very tough fight. Earth resistant accessories help, but a sentinel is a must. The mark is difficult on its own but once the life drops below half it summons up to eight Picochu to come fight with it. The Neochu uses Screech which removes your buffs while hitting the party with heavy damage and it uses Pollen which adds status ailments galore. There are two strategies that are possible and depend upon your level. If you are under level and find it difficult just staying alive then equip the Belladonna wand (or its upgrade) on Vanielle and make her party leader. Hope as medic and use a sentinel. Begin with Premeditation Paradigm Sab/Sen/Syn to haste the group and begin casting Death on Neochu. (Death must be cast manually). Have Combat Medic handy. Sab/Sen/Medic would also help. The more often Death is cast the better the odds of it landing and killing the thing. Death has a low success rate so don't be surprised if you reach the half way mark and Picochu's pop up. Simply retry. It may seem frustrating but at some point you'll get lucky. The other solution requires a high level party. First Imperil Neochu and Delta attack with frequent healing in combat clinic.

Mission 46 - On Silent Wings

Mark: Zirnitra
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Salamandrine Path
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Titan's Throne (E2)
Rank: A
Unlock Condition: Complete Mission 42
Reward: Gilgamesh, Inc
Secondary Reward: Bomb Core x10
A sentinel is a must in this fight. Zirnitra can cause up to 10,000 HP damage. Zirnitra is susceptible to Death. Premeditation Paradigm is a great beginning to this fight buffing allies while weakening the enemy.

Mission 47 - Unfocused Rage

Mark: Raktavija
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Salamandrine Path
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Titan's Throne (E3)
Rank: B
Unlock Condition: Complete Mission 42
Reward: Mnar Stone
Secondary Reward: Bomb Core x10
Accessories that reduce magic damage help. If you are far enough along to have the Magic Damper synthesized ability this fight will be easy. Also the Random: Instant Chain ability is useful since Raktavija can not be damaged while its Inertial barrier is up. Imperil and slow the enemy and haste yourself to progress things more quickly.

Mission 48 - The Abyss Stares Back

Mark: Verdelet
Cie'th Stone Location: FaultWarrens - Sylphid Path
Mark Location: FaultWarrens - Titan's Throne (E4)
Rank: A
Unlock Condition: Complete Mission 43
Reward: Twenty-sided Die
Secondary Reward: Bomb Shell x10
Cerberus Paradigm Com/Com/Com and hopefully you defeat them before they summon something else. If the fight gets too hard simply retry.
