New Bodhum - 003AF
Monsters
Monsters in New Bodhum are fairly unremarkable during your first visit to New Bodhum. However, returning here after completing the Bresha Ruins 005AF location where monster recruiting is unlocked can be a valuable pastime. New monsters (Exoray & Tabasco Toad) are unlocked upon your return. Note that the Exoray can be a useful medic but its scarcity makes it somewhat impractical to attempt to catch, especially since Cait Sith is a much better long-term investment. Also, the Tabasco Toad is notable for its use in bestowing low-level Fire abilities in role-specific infusion. It also a decent Ravager in its own right. If you feel the need for Potions and Phoenix downs during the game you don't need to buy them. A short period of farming Spiceacilians and Sarracenias in the Tidal Shallows area will net you as many of these items as you desire.
Monster roles are color coded. Commando, Ravager, Sentinel, Medic, Saboteur, & Synergist.
