Location: Macalania Woods - Bikanel Desert - Calm Lands

Dear Diary,
It really is quite sad that the woods are fading. I visited the sphere spring and the only one there was a lone Guado. We spoke and I felt I needed some time alone so I headed to the other spring in the woods. I have so many memories of these woods and it will make me quite sad to see them fade away. As I was alone at the spring I received the Ray of Hope Garment Grid.
After my time alone at the spring we all headed to visit O'aka at the travel agency. We witnessed a little spat between Wantz and O'aka. It turns out that O'aka and his nephew have set up competing shops and their inventories are some of the best on Spira. So, we decided to check out their inventories. Quite pricey but definitely worth the gil.
Note: If you've successfully completed the mission to stop Garik from waging war against the Guado then you'll receive an Episode Complete after Yuna contemplates at the second spring. The other Episode Complete here comes after you witness the argument between O'aka and Wantz.
Location: Bikanel Desert - Calm Lands

Dear Diary,
When we arrived at the desert everything was in turmoil. Apparently the Ancient Evil has surfaced and Marnela of the Cactuar Nation is desperate to get all the Cactuar guardians gathered. So we gathered the guardians but the last one was in the cave full of the rebellious Cactuars. We entered and taught Frailea a lessong. Once all the guardians were gathered the Cactuar Nation was protected but the Ancient Power turned its attention to the Al Bhed camp. We came to the rescue and sent the nasty fiend back to where it came from.

Location: Calm Lands

Dear Diary,
After we'd completed our work for the Publicity and Matchmaker quests we'd accepted we went to the Calm Lands. All our hard work paid off and our agency won. As a reward we received the Calm Lands Free Pass which allows us to ride the Calm Lands hovers free of charge. Also, when we talked with young man at the Travel Agency we learned that he'd found his match through our efforts and we were rewarded well.
Note: You absolutely must complete the Publicity and Matchmaking quests before going to the Calm Lands in Chapter 5. For help in completing these quests check out our Publicity and Matchmaking page.
When we visited Clasko he told us of an amazing discovery he'd made. The Chocobo Ranch had a hidden dungeon. We decided to investigate and after we'd solved the maze we took out the fiend hiding in its depths.
