Status Ailments




Below is a list of the differing status ailments that can occur during battle, whether they are battle only or permanent, and the ways in which they can be cured.

Status Ailment. Effect. Temporary / Permanent. Cure(s) Available.
Venom. HP Decreases gradually due to a poison circulating the body. Temporary. Chance of recovery during each turn in battle / Basuna LV1 and up.
Sleep. Character falls into a deep sleep and can't take part in battle. Temporary. Chance of recovery during each turn in battle / Basuna LV2 and up.
Mute. Spells are nullified and character loses ability to cast magic. Temporary. Chance of recovery during each turn in battle / Basuna LV3 and up.
Mini. The character becomes smaller, lowering Hit percentage rate. Temporary. Chance of recovery during turn in battle / Mini / Basuna LV 4 and up.
Paralysis. Paralysis drains character's strength, making movement impossible. Temporary. Chance of recovery during each turn in battle / Basuna LV5 and up.
Muddle. The chracter is confused into attacking other party members. Temporary. Chance of recovery during each turn in battle / Basuna LV6 and up.
Poison. HP Decrases due to a poison circulating through character's body. Permanent. Antidote / Esuna LV1 and up.
Darkness. Character is blinded by darkness, lowering Hit percentage rate. Permanent. Eye Drops / Esuna LV1 and up.
Curse. Deterirates every action the character makes during battle. Permanent. Cross / Esuna LV2 and up.
Amnesia. Magic spells are nullified and the character loses ability to cast magic. Permanent. Mallet / Esuna LV3 and up.
Toad. Maig spells are nullified and the Hit percentage rate decreases. Permanent. Maiden's Kiss / Esuna LV4 and up.
Stone. The character becomes petrified, making movement impossible. Permanent. Gold Needle / Esuna LV5 and up.
KO. When HP reaches zero, a character is knocked out until revived. Permanent. Phoenix Down / Life / Praying at the Sanctuary.
