Scene: Chapter 1

Location: Macalania Woods

Macalania.. is changing.
Bayra spoke of it dying. I will always treasure the beauty here, even if it must be as a memory...
To start out looking around I followed the eastern path past the New Yevon gaurds and took the south path at the crossroads. I found Donga there by the lake. He-er, her? S-He was a little strange.

I returned to the save sphere and climbed up the tree path. It twisted and wound all around, I'm very glad I wear good boots. Along the path I found a White Ring hidden behind a branch. Continuing along, I eventually found Pukutak. Curioser and curioser.

At the final fork I took the top right. By the tree I found Tromell. We talked four times before I moved on. He gave us Paine's special dressphere, Full Throttle. He also gave us the Unerring Path garment grid.

Back at the fork, I traveled north to the Travel Agency. Apparently Rin had sold the place to Oaka and he had racked up quite a debt. The debt collectors were rather nice, though. They gave me an Al Bhed Primer. Behind one of the machina heaps, there was a Hi-potion too.

Since Oaka had gotten himself in quite the debt problem I ended up having to chase him down. I tried to get ahead of him by taking the Shimmering Path and it was actually kinda fun watching him run down below. I bet jungle cats must feel like this; chuckling at their pray's feeble attempts to flee.

Anyway, the path diverged and I found a Turbo Ether at the end of the north one. Back on track, I finally reached the save point once again and even took that east path I had taken earlier from here. At the crossroads I went north this time and a nice Guado helped me in locating and cornering the sneaky punk.

Well... you know me... when Oaka told me all about his failed business I felt bad. So, er, well... I made a deal with him so now he's staying on our ship. We did get the Ice Queen garment grid out of the deal though!
Back on the ship I went to the Cabin to check up on how our little debt dodger was doing. Is it me or is the Cabin starting to get a little bit crowded? Oh well. Note: He has a 100000 gil debt that must be paid off by the end of Chapter 3.
