Scene: Chapter 1

Location: Zanarkand

We went after another treasure sphere, but this one was in Zanarkand. It really hurt to see how this place has been turned into a tourist attraction... Him and I were here, it's a special memory for me.

I talked with the tourists a little, had to climb the hill to get to a few and who do you suppose I'd find? Isaaru. Him and Cid are profiting from this place.

After finishing with him I went down the hill and entered the ruins. We followed the Kindergaurdians past a thieving monkey. One of them turned out to be Pacce.

Right after we ran into some of Leblanc's goons. Seems that the word Monkey is the key to some kind of treasure. At least, that was what we thought at the time...

Anyway, after fighting the goons there was a chest to the right of the path with a Mega Potion. And when we continued on our short-lived merry way we ran into another henchman. The chest after him had a Phoenix down. Through a tunneled path there was yet a 3rd goon. I tried to walk right past her but she was unusually persistant in her wanting to annoy us. I'm just glad she was the last one, it was getting ridiculous.

Paine, Rikku, and I entered the temple and found all the chests already empty. In the second room we took the lift down to where a save sphere was located. Cid was in the next room and boy did I give him a piece of my mind! So did Rikku. Maybe... we were a bit too harsh? Regardless, I talked to the other man in the room and the monkies cleared the path to the Spiritual chamber. I finally found a truckload of chests in one room and they were actually full!
We scored an Elixir, Phoenix down, Hi-potion, 2 Remedies, Remedy, and an Ether.

Up the stairs in the Final chamber I put a stop to Isaaru's pranking. "Is that you, Isaaru?" One simple phrase brought the guy out in the open. I received the Heart Reborn garment grid.
Well, after that brief interlude from our true mission, we went down the stairs on the otherside of a huge hole in the floor.

At the end of a twisty, windy path we found the sphere and a battle with Guardian Beast.
