HomeAfter using the unsuspecting Stiltzkin as a door jam you're free to roam the village again. Feel free to save and visit Al and Meeth in the Library. When you're done speak to Latov at the overlook in the top North corner. In the morning speak to Latov to find that Chelinka has turned your Stiltzkin door jam against you. Speak to him again to get Latov to solve the problem. After the cutscene you can speak to Stiltzkin about the painful consequences of your prank. Feel free to talk to Al, Meeth, or Latov and save your game. When you're ready head out the previously Locked Door to the North-West. Rebena Te RaSelect Rebena Te Ra on the world map and after a cutscene you'll have a chance to explore the town. Make sure to go shopping. To your left are the shops. From South to North they are the Armory, the Workshop, and the Items shop. If you have scrolls for the novice equiment you can use those at the Workshop - otherwise buy them at the Armory. Make sure to pick up the Bronze sword. At the items shop the clerk teaches you how to use magic and items. Make sure to pick up two or three of each magic and a few potions too. If you're short on cash you can buy less Fire magicite than the other spells. You're going to pick up a lot of Fire in the next location. If you really have to skimp then don't buy Raise or Ethers (you don't have any party members to revive right now and you don't have special skills at the moment). Make sure to speak to everyone in town. Note that speaking to the boy at the stairs directly left from the entrance and speaking to the items clerk will trigger the temple bell and progress time. Don't worry though - you can still talk to people after three o'clock. Just don't go into the central square. Before you move forward make sure to check out the castle entrance. You can access a walkway above the plaza by going up and left. If you go all the way left you'll find a secret Mog Mart. You can't buy much here and its expensive but what you can buy is worth it if you've got spare change. You can pick up an HP boost (200 gil) and an add a point to your max potion storage (100 gil). When you're ready head to the center of the square. After the cutscene save your game at the crystal and make your way to the newly Unlocked Door to the South-East. Abandoned CityThe first chest you encounter to the left yields Fire Magicite x2. The other chest has a Potion. Go into the open area in the South corner. Here you'll find a Red Globe. Select the Fire magicite in your inventory and then hold down X. Position the casting circle on the Globe and release. You'll do this with the correct magicite for any other Globes you find. In the Southernmost corner of this next room you'll find two chests. The one down the stairs contains Blizzard Magicite x2; the one on the platform contains a Cure Magicite. Make sure to smash the barrels along the North wall for Star Carrot, Potion, and Ether. The chest to the North-East contains 15 gil and Gourd Potato. Now for your first Urn. The Locked Door in the North corner is sealed by a Blue Urn. To open it drag a Blizzard Magicite left off your inventory. Pick up the dropped magicite orb and place it in the Urn. Go through the door and you'll find yourself in the second part of the first room. First things first - push the block to your left down to the lower level to create an easy path up or down. Next go grab the Cure Magicite from the chest to the far East. Fight off the two Goblins that appear and then open the chest around the corner to the North for Fire Magicite x2. Cross the bridge over the entrance way, fighting off the skeleton and goblin. Use Fire to light the candle like you would with a Globe to unlock the door below. This next room introduces Switches. Hit this first Blue Switch to change it to Red. Whatever color the switches are is the color of the raised platforms. Hop up to the ledge using the newly raised platform. The chest at the end of the ledge contains Cure Magicite and Clear Magicite. Tip: You will encounter Flan enemies in this area. They can be defeated using physical attacks but it is easier to kill them with magic. Either Fire or Blizzard will do the trick. Hop down from the ledge and defeat the enemies to make a Key appear on the ledge. First grab the chest for Cure and Clear Magicite. Then kill the Flan and go to the corner of the area it was in to find a Red Platform. Hop across it to a Switch; change it to Blue and hop over to the next Switch and a chest with 15 gil and Gourd Potato. Flip the Switch, hop across and you're back at the start of the room. Tip:Hop platforms with care - you loose 15 HP if you drop into the water. Now grab the Key and unlock the door. Right when you enter the room you'll find a white barrel on a little outcrop. If you're tricky and fast you can jump onto the outcrop and smash the barrel for an Ether. The trick is to grab the Ether before it falls into the water. Now go left and activate the Blue Globe. Ride across the the Save Crystal and then activate the Red Globe to start the lift. The chest at the top contains Cure Magicite. Next go through the Unlocked Door to the West. Cut through the new enemies in this room and jump to the ledge above the second staircase. Kill the Flan and then hop over the rooftop to a chest with 75 gil. Then go down the stairs. Hidden in an alcove to the West is a chest with another 75 gil. After retrieving the cash cross the short bridge. You'll find a sign and an iron switch. Follow the instructions to pound down the switch, opening a door above. Before going that way take the stairs down to a little clearing. Jump down the well here. Smash the white barrel here for a Potion. Then clear out the trio of baddies to activate the lift. Note the chest and other ledges. You'll have to come here later (with a Lilty in your party). Back in the previous room, on a high platform activate the Red Globe to turn on the lift. Then go through the door. Defeat the Saighin and Flan and then use the barrels to get the chest above for Copper. Then smash the barrels for some food and gil. Tip: If you have a bad habit of smashing barrels without thinking about ledges here's a trick. Drop a magicite and position it close to the ledge. If it's short enough you can jump on the magicite to reach the higher ledge. The other chest here contains Cure Magicite. Now go around and down the stairs, clearing out enemies as you go. Cross the railed bridge. In an alcove to the East you'll find a chest. First use it to hop up to the ledge with two chests that contain 75 gil and Iron Weapon. Now get the other chest for 75 gil. Continue going down stairs until you reach a wide open area. Here first light the three candles to the North to raise a bridge. Defeat the enemies that appear - at least one will drop a Thunder Magicite. Use it to activate the Yellow Globe to the left. Open the chest here for 15 gil and Round Corn. Then climb the steps overlooking the water. Cast Fire on the candle across the water to raise a step. This will take you to a lower section of the room. Tip: If you fell off the ledge earlier or got here through the Southern Unlocked Door in the previous room then you'll be going backwards from this section through the rest of the room. The chest to the West contains a Cure Magicite; the one to the East contains Iron Weapon. Now head back for that bridge you raised with the three candles. Cross it and open the chest for and a batch of enemies who will drop Fire, Blizzard and Thunder Magicite. Activate the Yellow Urn to open the right door. Note: This area is optional and somewhat tricky. However, there are fabulous items and lots of gil at the end of the road. That said, grab the exploding barrel and drop it onto one of the floor switches. Then jump on the other one. This first box contains 15 gil. Jump up to the next area and activate the Blue Globe. The second chest contains 30 gil. The next door has two Red Globes. Lock the first spell onto one of the Globes with L and then cast your second spell. Release the first spell at the same time as the second one (or close to it). This will open the gate. Before leaving this section hop out onto the ledge that overhangs the lower walkway for a chest with 75 gil. This next chest contains 75 gil. Jump over the wall and defeat the enemies here - they all drop 75 Gil apiece. Now your task gets harder. (This may take a few tries) You need to activate the Blue Globe and the Red Globe simultaneously. Use the same technique as the previous two Globes, switching quickly from one magicite to the next and releasing them at the same time. You're rewarded with Thunder, Blizzard, and Fire Pockets in the next chest. Now defeat the next few enemies, hopping over the wall. A chest will appear with Cure, Clear, and Raise Pockets Tip: EASY MONEY! You can exit and re-enter this area as many times as you want. The Pocket chests will not refill but the enemies still drop the same amount of gil and the 75 gil chest refills. This is a great way to afford buying Potion Pockets and HP Boosts from the Mog Mart. Return to the previous room. The left door here is flanked by a Yellow Urn and a Red Urn. Fill them to open the fancy door. You'll be in a new bit of the Save Crystal room. Use the Blue Globe to activate the ferry. On your way you'll spot a Key on a ledge. Hop off and grab it, jumping carefully back onto the ferry. When you reach the main room jump off. Now ride the lift up and follow the ledge to the right to a Locked Door. Make sure you've saved your game and are all healed up before going through. BOSS: Behemoth This boss has three attacks: a Fire attack, a stunning laser beam, and a pounce attack. Your best bet for the latter two attacks it to stay behind it. It will spin around to face you quite frequently though. You'll have to run around a lot. When you see its spell circle on the ground run away from it to avoid the fire spell. You can use Blizzard to freeze the boss but it only stops it for a few seconds at most - not really worth it. Just keep attacking its rear until the beast falls. Like last time, gather your loot (including a Behemoth Horn) and touch the crystal. Return to top Return to FFCC:Rof Main Page Return to FFExodus Main Page |
