Opening

After the stunning opening cinematics you find yourself in control of the soldier Reks. The only instructions this walkthrough will give you on this opening sequence is to follow the tutorial instructions given you. They are thorough and will give you a solid grasp on the basics of FF XII. Do note that in the mini-boss fight with Aircutter Remora you shouldn't have to heal yourself - one of the other soldiers will keep your HP up. Follow the other soldiers through the fortress and if in doubt press select to view your map and make your way (your location is the orange pointer) to the large red X ahead.
