Scene: Chapter 4

Location: Thunder Plains

ITEMS: 2 Petrify Grenade, 6 Phoenix Down, Turbo Ether, 6 Echo Screen, 2 X-Potion, Glass Buckle, Haste Bangle, Black Ring, Elixir

Dear Diary,

As if stress for the coming concert weren't enough, when we got to the Thunder Plains we found that a huge fiend had been wreaking havoc. There was no choice but to follow the fiend into it's lair and eradicate it! First we stocked up from the treasure chests and then we headed to the lair that the fiend had broken open. A Hypello by the entrance healed us and restored our MP so we went into the cave ready for battle. The fiend was at the very back of the lair and man was it ugly!

The most annoying part of this battle is that the boss is protected by a constant Null Magic field. Black Magic and magic based skills will do absolutely no good. Thus you'll want to pull out your strongest physical attackers like the Dark Knight, Samurai, and Berserker. You'll probably also want to have an Alchemist around to keep you healthy. You can blind this boss so by darkening it you'll avoid most of its attacks. The one attack it won't protect against is its Flame Breath. You might consider equipping a garment grid that allows you to absorb flame attacks. Just keep it blinded and attack with your full strength and you should take this boss down no problem.

After the boss fight we exited the cave and went straight to the concert. That was some experience! All I can say is that my feelings weren't the only ones coming through in the song. The emotions were so intense that they even took over Shinra's holographic system. The experience was so amazing that it brought me to my knees. I can only hope that it affected the audience as powerfully.
