Limit BreakSQUALL LEONHART Limit Break: Renzokuken Renzokuken causes massive damage as Squall repeatedly attacks with his Gunblade. During the Limit Break, a bar with a moving light appears. By pressing R1 at the exact moment the light enters the small box, Squall's attack is increased. Missing still results in an attack but it is much weaker. Renzokuken can be set to Auto in Squall's Status Screen if R1 proves too difficult. The indicator can also be turned off for attempting the R1 without assistance. At the end of the attack, sometimes an ending attack will occur. There are four of these possible attacks and which are possible is solely dependant upon Squall's currently equipped weapon. Rough Divide - Squall charges at a single enemy and performs a rising slash. Fated Circle - Squall leaps into the air and twirls his Gunblade to release a shockwave of energy that his all enemies. Blasting Zone - A column of light shoots from Squall's Gunblade and crushes foes. Lion Heart - After knocking an enemy into the air, Squall relentlessly attacks it in a fury. This is Squall's strongest limit. QUISTIS TREPE Limit Break: Blue Magic Blue Magic involves using enemy abilities and skills. There are a list of special items that when used on Quistis teach her Blue Magic skills. These items can either be dropped or stolen from monsters, made using the Card Mod ability, or refined from another item.
ZELL DINCHT Limit Break: Duel Zell's Limit Duel involves combinations of punches and kicks. When you first get Zell he comes with five basic attacks. There are five magazines in the game called the Combat King which add new moves. If the Tonberry GF has the Familiar ability then on disc 3 the bookstore in Esthar will have all 5 magazines.
The Duel limit is a timed chain of button combinations (or attack combinations). A screen at the bottom will show three possible button sequences representing the attacks Zell knows. Sometimes only two moves are shown at these times there is the option to not push either attack listed but instead push Punch Rush.
Completing specific chains of kicks and punches will result in different ending attacks. Zell starts out with Burning Rave and learns through the last 3 Combat Kings his other finishing moves.
