PrologueThis flashy intro sequence includes a train chase and a large, but simple boss fight. Your first task is the eliminate a group of 16 sentries. Note that they only inflict about 1HP of damage per hit. This is a good chance to familiarize yourself with the basic moves like guard and evade. You can even toy with the elemental and special attack (Assault Twister) materia you have available for the moment. When you tire of playing around with them, finish the fight and move on up the stairs. After a brief cutscene you'll be face to face with a massive Behemoth.
This boss uses attacks called Gyro Tail, Heave, and a nasty claw attack. To avoid these you'll want to stay behind them or use your dodge capabilities to roll out of the way. Your primary tactic should be to stay behind the big purple monster as much as possible. Not only will you get critical hits, but you'll avoid most major damage. If the beast raises its tail be prepared to dodge or guard against its nasty tail swipe. It has no real elemental weaknesses so pounding it repeatedly with your blade is your best tactic. Continuous combo pounding will do decent damage as well as (hopefully) cause some knockback that will delay the boss's attacks. If your life gets low feel free to use a potion - they're cheap and easy to come by so don't be afraid to use them. Keep these tactics up and with any luck your DMW reel will bring up a Limit Break at some point to help you along. Eventually the fearsome best will fall. After you've taken out the boss watch the cutscenes and you'll be taken into the next chapter of the game. Return to Crisis Core:FFVII Main Page Return to FFExodus Main Page |
