Scene: Chapter 1

Location: Djose Temple

You know, it’s kind of strange to see a temple so overrun by machina... Even though I know that Yevon’s teachings were bogus and we should look to ourselves for guiding the world from now on, it still surprises me to see what we label as “machines” so widely acceptable now. Well, I came to Djose today to see about digging in the desert. Apparently you can’t go to the Bikanel without going through some guy named Gippal, so here we were. The line we had to go through was long, so I ended up waiting quite awhile. While biding my time, I uncovered a phoenix down on the far left.

When the last person entered the tent, I quickly ran over and entered too. I asked the man at the desk if I could dig and he sent me off into the temple to interview with Gippal. Well, I talked with Gippal and he gave me an Al Bhed primer, but then took off and I had to track him down. I found him out at the bridge just outside of the temple. The interview was a sinch and before I knew it I had my letter of introduction in my hands. Yea, Gippal’s a pretty cool guy. At the opposite end of the bridge I found 2 potions, but other than that there was nothing else here; so we left.
