Scene: Chapter 1

Location: Kilika Island

Well, we didn't get much of a break. Almost as soon as we reboarded our ship a report came in about an Awesome Sphere in Kilika. There was no way I would let anyone else claim that sphere!

At the dock I got on a boat behind the save sphere. On a lower dock behind it I scored an Ether. (Btw, it was REALLY hard to get a good angle for jumping back to the boat so I had to keep trying a few times.)
There was another boat only a few steps away about level with an overly active barking dog. It had a Mana Tablet in it.

Up the second set of stairs and across the bridge I found 2 antidotes. Crossing over the next bridge and moving south down a house I found another chest with 2 Eye drops. Down the last house, downstairs, and eing faced by a few people was a box with a Phoenix down. At the very southeast corner of the dock there was a lady in blue next to a jumping monkey. She was apparently playing with a Squatter Monkey. I talked to her two times and gathered that she'd like me to identify monkeys for her in the forest and that there are 13. Since that really didn't have much to do with my mission, I won't get into it here in my diary.

Anyway, after finding all my goodies I returned back across the two bridges and down the stairs. Up the stairs at the far end on the left and to the house right there on the left we stumbled across Barthello and Dona's home---er, though they don't seem to be doing so well...
Up the stairs in her home there was 1500 gil sitting on the roof. I suppose with all the commotion those two are in they won't miss a lil gil disapearing..heh..heh..heh.

Along the upper platforms we reached a dead end by walking around the furthest left house and scored a Light Curtain. I crossed the bridge right there, went down the stairs, up a ramp facing it, and past a few people to grab another Lunar Curtain out of another chest. What was actually really cool was getting a glimpse from there of the Youth Leagues' new Head Quarters.

Back across the ramp I passed the stairs I came from to go up the next one on the right. At the top was a Star Curtain. Down the stairs under a tree just further north was a chest with 2 Holy waters in it.

Done shopping, I made my way to the North Gate and left the town. Just outside I ended up watching Nooj give a motivating speech. He's definitely not how I had imagined him to be...
Well, next came a maze of dodging checkpoints and making my way to the temple.
At the 1st Crossroads we took a left and the very next right.
We continued straight till we hit another crossroad that gave me 2 options. When I went north I was able to learn the passwords for New Yevon by listening in the bushes. Odd = Carved Monkey and Even = Craven Monkey.
The East path brought me to a dead end with two options. When I went south I ended up climbing a tree and found a Megalixir at the top of it. North took me to a Save Sphere and the stairs to the temple.

By giving the guards all the right passwords, I made it to the top of the stairs and received the Menace of the Deep garment grid, Hi-potion, Ether, and Turbo Ether.

At the top we ended up fighting YSLS-Zero. It was no match for the Gullwings!
